When I think of head lice, I think of itchy scalps and tiny crawling bugs that self perpetuate. There is nothing nice about these bugs and while the head lice life perpetuation is not a real danger to anyone, it is a problem that can continue on forever if it is not treated properly. People get head lice from direct head to head contact with another person who has head lice. This can happen when people play, cuddle or work closely together. If you pass it onto to someone and then you clean up your problem, you can get it right back from them before they even know that they contracted the lice. If you or anyone in your family contracts head lice, it is important to learn about the head lice life cycle so that you are fully armed with correct information. Treating and beating the head lice is going to take more then one treatment. This is something that is going to feel like your entire world has been flipped upside down and that your entire life is revolving around life with head lice. It is important to make sure that you follow through with treatments and clean up so that the head lice does not come back full force.

 The head lice life span can be extremely frustrating and make you wonder why they even need to be on this planet, as they seem to serve no real purpose other than to annoy people. The first thing you want to do is to keep yourself, or whoever has the head lice, away from other people. If it is your children who are infected, you will want to talk with their school in order to understand their individual policy with children returning to school. Completely solving a head lice problem can take a few weeks so be prepared for a lot of work. There are many treatments to kill the head lice life cycle on the market. These can be purchased at the supermarket or chemist if the need is required.  Any stuffed animals that have been in contact with the infected person over the previous 24 hours need to be sterilized. Place them in a bag seal the bag tight and leave those items in there for at least two weeks as this will kill off any bugs in there. Do not use a lot of chemicals around the house, as this can be a real danger to children and pets.
