We are led to believe in life that everything has a purpose and a place. People fear spiders, mice and cockroaches but they all server a purpose in our world. No matter the size of the animal or insect everything has its place but what is the purpose for the head lice life, as they do not seem to help anyone or anything. It almost seems as if they were created in order to annoy the human as these little bugs like only human hosts.

The life cycle of head lice on an individual basis is short lived but the problem lies in the fact that there could be several hundred lice on a head at any given time and they are each at different stages of their head lice life. If left on the head to reproduce, you will never get rid of the pesky problem that is the head lice life cycle. The rumors about certain races, genders or social standings getting head lice more then other people are simply absurd. The fact is if you are human and you are alive, then you are at risk to getting head lice life on your head. When I think of head lice, I think of itchy scalps and tiny crawling bugs that self perpetuate. There is nothing nice about these bugs and while the head lice life perpetuation is not a real danger to anyone, it is a problem that can continue on forever if it is not treated properly. People get head lice from direct head to head contact with another person who has head lice. This can happen when people play, cuddle or work closely together. Have you had your child come home from school or care with an itchy head only to find that they have head lice? For some people there could be nothing worse than dealing with this little pesky bugs. Did you know though that that the head lice life span is not that long at all and once removed from their host, they will live only a few hours to a few days? The individual head lice life span is not that long but it is the problem of hundreds and possibly thousands of head lice eggs and bugs that are the problem.  Since head lice breed so fast and reproduce all the time, there are going to be several stages of head lice on any one head.
